ADR Hazardous Goods Training

adr-training-tanker ADR Hazardous Goods Training

Does your Company carry Hazardous Materials in Packages, Road Tankers or Tank Containers?

If the answer is "yes"  you may need an ADR Vocational Training Certificate.

The ADR driver training regulations apply to vehicles over 3500 kgs and above certain load limits, if you are below these limits and carry dangerous goods you will still need specific awareness training.

The course is broken down into modules and to obtain an ADR Certificate you need to pass the Core Module, Tanks &/or Packages Module (depending on the mode of transport you will drive) and the Class(es) Module for the type of goods you will carry.

Courses must be approved by DfT and drivers must pass the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) examinations which are integrated in the courses. Compulsory refresher training must be completed within the five year expiry of the date of issue of the original certificate but within the last 12 months.

** Please note that time spent attending the ADR course will count as duty time under Driver Hours Law Regulations.
